EL TIÓ has been designed and finished in Anglès (Girona) by the Debosc team, and machined using CNC in Gironella (Barcelona).
It consists of:
24 9-mm untreated, birch plywood strips, with an oak finish, glued to a piece of cotton.
1 circle and 1 hoop made out of 9-mm untreated birch plywood, with 2 incrustrated pairs of magnets embedded into the wood, as the bottom of the Tió.
1 circle of 9 mm untreated birch plywood, as the face of the Tió.
2 beech legs with a diameter of 2 cm and a fitted screw, to be screwed into the Tió’s body.
1 57 × 30 cm blanket-bag, made in certified OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 fabric.
1 traditional barretina, 31 × 24 cm.

Birch plywood will last you a lifetime, but will take on a more golden color over time. To restore the original color of EL TIÓ, polish the wood with 240 grit sandpaper.

EL TIÓ is shipped in a 57 × 30 cm bag, made in certified OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 fabric, which doubles as a blanket.
